This is a reminder that in November, Kahului Federal Credit Union is doing a Core System and Technology Upgrade.
We’re updating our system to enhance your overall user experience!
Pre-Upgrade Checklist
- Please be aware that the credit union will be fully closed, and the upgrade is expected to last for two days
- Plan to perform large transactions before the upgrade
- Be informed that you will still have access to American Saving Bank’s and First Hawaiian Bank’s network of ATMs
- Download or print at least 12 months of e-Statements
- Become familiar with It’sMe247
Post-Upgrade Checklist
- Re-enroll in Online Banking as a new user
- Download and set up our NEW Mobile App. Please watch for communication from us when this is available
- Utilize your new “Shoreline” Kahului FCU Debit Card
- Update your new debit card number with merchants (ex. memberships, subscription services, and utilities)
Technology Upgrade FAQ

We are undergoing a Core System Upgrade along with a Technology Upgrade.

The upgrade will begin on November 1, 2023.

The upgrade process is expected to take two days to complete.

No, we will be completely closed and only answering urgent emails during this period.

Yes, you will need to re-enroll as a new user.

You should click the "First Time User" login link and follow the on-screen instructions to have a unique login code texted or emailed to you.

No, you will have to download the new Mobile App.

The current Mobile App will be unavailable at the close of business on October 31, 2023. The new Mobile App will be available within 5-7 days once approved by Apple and Google.

No, you will not have access to your accounts during the upgrade.

Although your account number remains the same after the system upgrade, the MICR number on your checks will change upon re-order. Contact us before setting up new Direct Deposits or electronic transactions to obtain the correct routing and account number. However, you can continue to use your current supply of checks.

No, your Direct Deposits will continue to post to your account as they do today. Please note that Direct Deposits scheduled for November 1 will not be available until Thursday, November 2, when the new system goes live, as part of the transition to our new system.

Because your new Shoreline Debit Card has a different card number, please contact various merchants, utilities, and memberships you have recurring payments with and update your card number with them on October 30, 2023. Common examples include subscription services and gym memberships. Reach out to these entities and provide them with your updated card information.

Your new "Shoreline" Kahului FCU Debit Card replaces your old "Blue Globe" Card on Monday, October 30, 2023!
Your old Blue Globe Card will be closed on Monday, October 30, 2023, and will no longer work.
Please DO NOT use the “Shoreline” Debit Card before then!

Yes, your funds, personal data, and account information will be safe and secure as always. All Kahului FCU accounts will continue to be insured by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) Share Insurance Fund to at least $250,000.

During the two weeks post-upgrade, we will have a call center dedicated with conversion experts to service our phone call needs, this is temporary until November 16th.

Your existing account number(s) will remain unaffected by our computer System Upgrade. However, please note that the account suffixes will be changing. Before setting up new direct deposits, electronic transactions, or ordering checks, contact us to verify the correct information.

Yes, your existing credit cards will continue to work after our computer System Upgrade. Your Personal Identification Numbers (PINs) will also remain unaffected.

Yes, you will be able to utilize American Savings Bank’s and First Hawaiian Bank’s network of ATMs.

ATM PIN withdrawals will be limited to $125/day, and debit card signature transactions will be limited to $500/day.

Yes, there is a PIN limit of $125/day during this period.

These limits will take effect on Monday, October 30, 2023, at approximately 4 a.m. ET, and will be removed at approximately 8 a.m. ET on Thursday, November 2, 2023.

Yes, you will be waived any late fees for loan payments during the upgrade period.

Due to our system upgrade, all members, including e-Statement users, will receive a paper statement containing October activity. These statements will be mailed to the current address we have on file.

If you are enrolled in e-Statements and have not already done so, please download or print at least 12 months of your e-Statements, as you will no longer have access to this history after October 31, 2023.

Enter your member number.
Enter your temporary PIN (last four digits of the primary account holder’s social security number).
You will then be prompted to enter a new PIN, enter a new PIN, and press #.
Confirm your new PIN.
Select Menu Options:
Account inquiries, including balances and recent transactions.
Funds transfer.
Hear current rates or calculate estimated loan payments.
Change your PIN.
Change to a different member number.
Other CU Services – including locations and hours.
Repeat this menu.
